Fear of Creation
A downloadable game
What scares you?
Spiders? Heights? Blood? Death?
There are many things in this world one can be afraid of. Some fears are embedded into the human consciousness for our survival, others can be quite strange and unreasonable in application.
Some fears ascend the common realm of normality. For example, the miniscule size of a person's actions on the scale of our universe, not even comparable to an atom. What about the fear of the unknown, the knowledge that your are contained in your own space of existence, and you can't see, touch, or think about what could easily do the same to you. Or how about the fear of trusting others, where you can't trust another person for they could betray you like everyone else has before and tear your mind apart further.
This is a game that explores a unique type of fear, one that cannot truly be felt until you experience it firsthand. The fear of creation.
In the prototype demo, you enter into the world of the Millennial Super-Sciences Facility as a little girl, and explore the lobby of the structure from a side entrance. Solve environmental puzzles to delve deeper, and find remnants of the people who once brought a new kind of life into the world.
Currently a work in progress, more features will be added in more developed versions. Such as improved animations, detailed environments, complex run and hide mechanics against a variety of monsters, tools to help you explore the facility in its twisting non-Euclidian design, and a true exploration of why you as a little girl are here in the first place.
That is all from me, I hope you enjoy your time in this short demo,
Ardaceus.

some doors either lead into rooms that only other doors are supposed to lead into or something else that requires player transition got a little messed up in one way or another ,at any rate i'd recommend displaying the name of the room (map) im currently in at the moment but i assume it would ruin the mysterious vibe that is essential for a game like this so i understand why thats not a thing ,im hoping to hear from you once this gets patched! ,best regards!
Hi Whoopsie thank you for playing my demo! The doors leading into locations that they didn't previously was a design choice for the non-Euclidean design of the facility. I made sure all doors lead into the intended locations at all times for this demo.
I do agree that I have overdone this part of the game, and will tone it down in future versions. I may add a visual indicator to help the player understand that a door they just used doesn't lead into the same location, but as you said I want it to be more mysterious and unsettling to experience.
You also might be talking about the hallway connections in the lobby, which do not transition between maps smoothly. In future versions, I plan to either make it seamless somehow between maps or just take out the instant transition entirely.
For knowing which room you are in (such as a display the map name), I've been thinking of ways to approach this issue, such as having maps for different areas of the facility and have them be marked (like in the original Silent Hill), or using more area specific designs to help the player understand what part of the facility they are in (Like in Super Metroid or Hollow Knight where areas have distinct designs, colorations, or ambience).
Thank you for your feedback on this demo!
